Failure means keep moving forward!
2018 is the year that I don't give a F about things. Now, a lot of people automatically thinks my comment is negative. It's actually over on the positive side. This year, I'm killing off the old Natalie. My objective is to not look in the future or dwell on things in the past, but to be happy with now. Some people are clapping and saying "Go Girl!" While others don't care and think this should have already been put into action. However, some are still wondering where does "Failure" fall into this.
Failure was what keep me looking back and planning ahead in my life. Humans hate to fail. Even though, it's a part of our make up. It's painful and a constant reminder from others and ourselves about situations in our lives. I looked at my divorce, being laid off, and etc as failures. I felt like I was the only one. No one knew my pain. I isolated myself to suffer alone. Then, something happened. I woke up. I grew up. I kept moving forward. Looking back, my divorce was a blessing because I married a crazy, self centered, man that didn't care about me. If I wasn't laid off, I probably would have never self-published my two books and created "Storytelling in the Blood". The list goes on and on.
When I get down, I read this article 20 Brilliant Authors Whose Work Was Initially Rejected(buzz feed). I'm currently in graduate school getting a MA in Creative Writing. To be honest, English wasn't my strongest suit. In better terms, I suck at it. My teacher didn't think I was the brightest in the class and I was an average student. However, this is my 2nd Masters. Yes, I have a BS in Marketing and MBA in Human Resources and Management. My motivation is making the negative people shut up. Failure is not the end, but a reference to do and be better.
My last words: Failure is fuel to keep moving forward. The only time you truly fail is when you stop trying. Blessings.
